She would always put people's needs in front of hers and would give the shirt off her back for anyone in need. She was a God fearing woman who loved to make people feel welcomed with a plate of food or a word of advice."

Silvia falleció luego de su esposo Raul Sosa Jr. †; su padre Antonio Vela † y su madre Ignacia Muñoz †; sus 2 hermanos † & 1 hermana †.

Una visitación para Silvia se realizará el martes, 16 de enero 2024 desde la 1:00 pm hasta las 9:00 pm con un rosario a las 7:00 pm en capilla de angeles en Funeraria Del Angel, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd, Brownsville, Texas 78521. Una misa se llevará a cabo el miércoles, 17 de enero del 2024 a las 2:00 pm en Our Lady of Good Counsel, 1055 Military Road, Brownsville, TX. Seguido por un sepelio a las 3:00 pm en Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4464 Old Port Isabel Road, Brownsville, TX.
