

Antone was born July 27, 1924 in Kurten to Anton Henry and Anna Hedtke Stevener. He attended Stephen F. Austin High School and graduated from the University of Texas class of 50’ with a degree in Pharmacy. He worked as a pharmacist for 40 years until he retired from TAMU Veterinary Pharmacy. Antone was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 1834. He proudly served two tours in the Pacific during World War II in the U.S. Navy and was a U.S. Navy Corpsman attached to the Marine Corps. He enjoyed fishing, wine making and gardening. Antone was known for his wonderful sense of humor that will be missed by countless family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Curtis Stevener, Woodrow Stevener and Wallace Stevener; sister Helen West.
Survivors include his wife Irene Fickey Stevener of Bryan; children Wade and wife Rockie Stevener of Spring, Dr. Ronald and wife Lue Stevener of Palestine, Deborah Stevener of Bryan, and Gary and wife Susan of Bryan; 10 grandchildren: Sydney Goss and husband Barry, Andrew Stevener, Misty Lindsay and husband Josh, Marcy Torma, Abbey Tharpe and husband Chad, Brandon Rothrock and wife Elizabeth, Brittany Rothrock, Amanda Stevener, Charlie Stevener and wife Danielle, and Megan Stevener; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Stevener, Brandon Rothrock, Rickey Ponzio, Bobby Fickey, Timmy Fickey, and Larry West.
