Carolyn "Susie" Vest

will begin Friday, August 24th with a Rosary at 10 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St.Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan, Texas. Rev. Msgr. John McCaffrey will officiate. Susie was born August 21, 1949 in Houston Texas, to Frank and Julie Klimek. She worked for Student Business Services at Texas A&M University before retiring in order to continue her fight with lung cancer. In her position at the University, she was always willing to go the extra mile for others and putting in her two cents when needed. She was an enthusiastic outdoors person who loved to garden, fish, watch wildlife, and grow cactus which she enjoyed in the company of her grandchildren. We express a special thank you to the staff at St. Joseph Manor who took such great care of her during her remaining time with our family. We would also like to thank Southern Care Hospice for taking care of Susie, enabling her to be at home in comfort so she could enjoy sitting outside and watching the deer. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank Arnold Klimek and Julie (Novosad) Klimek. Survivors include her son Steven Sodolak and wife Debby of Bryan; daughter Shanna Sodolak of Somerville; son Brian Sodolak and wife Stacie of Bryan; son Paul Sodolak and wife Gina of Somerville and son Curtis Sodolak and wife Tiffany of Snook. Also surviving Susie are her two brothers, Frank Klimek and wife Marilyn of Bryan, and Gene Klimek of Bryan. Susie has 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
