

Charles I. Urich, Sr., 74, of Bryan, passed away at Magnified Health and Rehab in College Station on July 25, 2010. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, July 29, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan with the Rev. Johnny Sloan officiating. Interment will follow in Willowhole Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday,
July 28, at the funeral home. Charles was born on October 6, 1935 in St. Edward, Nebraska to Henry and Gladys Urich. Charles joined the Navy in 1955 and served his country for 2 years on board the USS Chara. He retired from the USDA in 1997. He was a member of Rock Prairie Baptist Church. Charles loved to tinker in his garage and always enjoyed helping others. He will be remembered for his blue eyes, his love of family, friends, and fishing. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Beeler Urich; his parents; and a brother, Al Urich. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Bobbie Urich; daughter,
Tina Weido and husband, Sam, of Bryan; son, Charles I Urich, Jr. of Dallas; step-children, Sue Hosea, David Cheatham, Carolyn Hill, and Billy Cheatham; brothers, Henry, Lonnie and Richard; a sister, Jean Ogden; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
