

Dorothy Irwin, affectionately known as “Aunt Dorothy or Sister” passed away October 2, 2016 in Cedar Park, Texas. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, October 7, 2016 at Memorial Funeral Service in Bryan, with the Rosary to be recited at 5:00. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9:00 AM, Saturday, October 8, 2016 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Dorothy was born March 22, 1929 in Bryan the daughter of Antonino B. and Dorotea (Tritico) Varisco. She was married to Frank Irwin and together they raised four children. She was a lifelong member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and volunteered as a Pink Lady at St. Joseph Hospital for over 50 years. She was a loving caregiver to all her family and friends, and was infamous for her tacos, enchiladas, Christmas Cookies and her homemade chicken soup. Dorothy loved needlepoint and was an avid Aggie Fan.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Antonino and Dorotea Varisco; husband, Frank Irwin; and a daughter Pamela Bayer.
Survivors include her sister, Louise Wadsworth; three children, Patti Irwin, Debbie Cruger-Hansen, and Frank Irwin; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
