

He is survived by his son, Cody Shrimpton of Bryan; the love of his life of over 20 years, Debra Landua Shrimpton; his father and step mother, Charles and Linda Shrimpton of Bryan; a sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Mitch Jordan of Bryan; a twin brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Suzzette Shrimpton of Spring, Texas; a brother Steven Johnson of Milam, Texas; and a sister, Shelly Shrimpton of Grand Prairie, Texas; aunts, Marie Lanham of Bryan, and Marie Shrimpton Reed of Kentucky; nephews Justin Shrimpton, Gage Willingham and Jimmy Johnson; nieces Kaycie Poole, Allison Shrimpton, Ashleyanna Johnson, Kaitlyn Fritz, and Kelsey Praytor; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Doug and Janell Landua of College Station; sister-in-law, Dawn Warren of Burton; several cousins, close friends, Tami Bolton, Charles Tanner, and Betty Tanner; and other loving family and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Shrimpton; grandparents Hazel Shrimpton, Virginia and Louie Morris, Jim Ed Johnson, Ellehue and Vera Lawson; and uncles Jimmy E. Johnson, Clyde Lawson, and Chappell Lanham.
Jeffrey was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. He was married to his love Debra in 1992. He and Debra were blessed with their baby son Cody in 1999. He graduated from Bryan High School in 1985, where he played varsity football. Growing up in Brazos County, he was active in the 4-H Youth Program. He was most recently employed at Sew Vac Wares in Bryan. He was a devoted father to his son. He enjoyed watching all sports, especially football and basketball. Favorite teams included the Dallas Cowboys and Texas A&M Aggies. He also enjoyed playing with his beloved dog, Sugar. He was a kind, funny and very thoughtful person, always concerned about others, even as he himself was very ill. He was a man of deep faith and was uplifted through listening to contemporary Christian music. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station, Texas located at 2901 Texas Avenue South. Services will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 2:00p.m. in the Chapel at Willowhole Cemetery in North Zulch, Texas.
Jeffrey’s family would like to thank those who had an impact on Jeffrey throughout his life, including close friends, mentors and leaders of faith. The family would also like to express their gratitude for everyone who visited and prayed for Jeffrey during these last few months. Words cannot express our appreciation for your love and support. The family would also like to thank those who assisted in Jeffrey’s care, including the doctors and staff at Christus Dubuis Hospital in Bryan, St. David’s Medical Center in North Austin, and St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan.
