

Mary Ann Scarpinato, 85, of Bryan, passed away Thursday Januray 27, 2011 at the St. Joseph Manor in Bryan. Visitation will be Saturday, January 29, 2011 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. A Rosary will be held at 6:30 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 P.M. Sunday, January 30 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bryan with Reverend Patrick Ebner, Monsignor John Malinowski, and Monsignor John McCaffery officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Bryan.
Mary Ann was born July 24, 1925 in Brazos County, Texas to John Marion and Lula Fiellia Fazzino. She graduated from Bryan High School and married the love of her life, William “Bill” Scarpinato. She was a home maker, and a lifetime member of St. Anthony Catholic Church where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Gold Medallion Club at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bill, on July 17, 1999; and four brothers, Don Fazzino, Marion Fazzion, Mike Fazzino, and Nick Fazzino.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Kathy Scarpinato of Bryan; brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Sara Fazzino of Bryan; sister, Katie Viola of Bryan; granddaughter Mary Ann Scarpinato of Bryan; grandson, William Peter Scarpinato of Bryan; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Memorials may be made to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church Building Fund or to Hospice Brazos Valley.
