Narciso Jose “Joe” Castillo, 79, of Cypress passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024. He was born November 2, 1944 in Granada, Nicaragua to Dr. Raul de Jesus Castillo Urbina and Rosa Ameilia Sequeira.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, May 23 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 – 6 pm with a 6 pm rosary Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
Joe loved physics and graduated with the highest score in Costa Rica where he went to school. He came to the States to attend Texas A&M University and graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1968 and met his loving wife Sandra Salvaggio in the same year. After graduation, they moved to Houston where they settled for his career while they raised a family. Joe could fix anything and he loved to work in the yard and help his family. He traveled extensively during his career and was very successful in life.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sandra Castillo; daughter, Sandy Castillo; numerous nieces and nephews; and also his grand-dogs, Coco and Cujo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Raul and Rosa Castillo; and brother, Nicolas Castillo.
