Funeral service will be 10:00 am Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Bethel Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Bryan City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Friday, September 6, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
Victor was born on May 11, 1943 in Houston. He worked in HV/AC and construction his entire life and then retired from Bryan ISD. Victor enjoyed hunting, being outdoors and working on his farm.
Victor is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Frances (Garcia) Mata; sister, Gloria Mata; and a daughter, Cheryl Lindsey.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Mata; son, Anthony Mata and wife Suzie; daughter, Angela Mata-Johnson; son, Lance Lindsey and wife Tobey; sisters, Maria Baker and Rebecca Grey and husband David; grandchildren, Cristian Martinez, Ava Mata, Amelia Mata, Michael Amador, Camden Johnson, Aaden Johnson, Emmarie Johnson, Hunter Lindsey, James Lindsey and Braxton Lindsey.
