

Viola Elida Salazar, 79, of Houston, passed away Monday, April 16 in Houston. Visitation will be Saturday April, 21 from 8 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Bryan City Cemetery.
Viola was born in Crystal City on May 9, 1932 to Arcenio and Antonia Rodriguez. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and will be missed by numerous family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Arcenio Rodriguez, Jr.; grandson Eric Jimenez.
Survivors include her daughter Deborah Jackson of Houston; sons Vincent and wife Amelia Jimenez of Katy, Lionel Eric Jimenez of Houston, Gerald and wife Julie Jimenez of Tulsa, OK, Raul and wife Amanda Anagnostopoulos of Houston; daughter Catherine Salazar of Houston; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; step-mother Valeriana Rodriguez of Bryan; brother Albert Rodriguez of Bryan; sisters Herlinda and husband Roger Rodriguez of Bryan, Alma Lydia Rodriguez and husband Manuel Duran of Nuevo Laredo, Ernestine Ramirez and husband Jose of Houston; brother Charlie Rodriguez of Bryan; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
