Willfleen Holladay, 76, of Bryan, passed away Saturday evening February 2, 2013 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Visitation will be from 4 P.M. to 9 P.M. Wednesday February 6, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Memorial Services will be at 2 P.M. Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Central Baptist Church in College Station. Interment will be at Steep Hollow Cemetery in the Steep Hollow Community.
Willfleen was born May 29, 1936 in Hamlin, Texas to Wanda Lucille Wright and Emory Blaine Williams. She graduated from Buena Vista High School in Imperial, Texas. She received her Bachelors of Education Degree in Education from Texas Tech and her Master’s Degree in Education from Texas A&M University. In 1971, she and her family moved to Columbus, Texas. She was a homemaker until 1972 when she began teaching Bookkeeping, Typing, and Shorthand to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors at Columbus High School. Eventually she and her family moved to Houston where she worked for Raytheon and Litwinn Engineering until she retired in 2000. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Columbus.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Melvin Earl Williams, one great-grandson, Keaton Musgrove; and two grandsons, Blake and Dusty Holladay on February 1, 2013.
She is survived by her huasband Billie Wayne Holladay of Bryan; two sons and daughters-in-law, Montie and Deanna Holladay of College Station, and Ben and Debbie Holladay of Bryan; two daughters, Cathy Holladay of Tomball and Cynthia Blackburn of Houston; grandsons, Dwayne Beran, Chris Musgrove, and James Musgrove; granddaughters, Heather Beran, Rebecca Blackburn, and Rachael Blackburn; two great-grandchildren, Kylen Beran and Kashton Musgrove.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Hospice Center in Bryan, Texas.
