William was born December 30, 1955 in Hearne, the son of William Joseph Vanadore Sr and Annie Kathryn (O'Banion) Vanadore. William was a lifetime resident of Bryan, and resided in Riverside since 2022 with his wife Rhonda.
William is preceded in death by his parents, William Joseph Vanadore Sr and Annie Kathryn Vanadore. He is survived by his wife Rhonda Vanadore, son William Joseph (Jay) Vanadore III and daughter-in-law Amanda Carolyn Vanadore, daughters Whitney Janai (Vanadore) Janke, Heather Lynn (Vanadore) Hartmann and son-in-law Taylor Christian Hartmann; mother of children Mary Lynn (Smith) Vanadore; brothers and sister-in-laws David and Denise Vanadore, Dale and Tracy Vanadore; grandchildren, Hannah Carolyn Vanadore, Walker Joseph Vanadore, Cole Christian Janke, Cora Janai Janke, and Patton Christian Hartmann; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
William and Mary Lynn married in 1977 and William’s welding and fabrication business was started soon after. William worked in the oil field industry on and offshore, completed large equipment reconstruction throughout Texas and various states across the United States, and was known to be able to repair or build just about anything he set his mind to. William possessed a work ethic matched by few and was committed to providing for his family and finishing the job he was tasked. He was always found outside or in his shop working on the next project. In addition to building a beautiful family and home he was known for his skill in building his own work trucks finished out with custom work beds suited for his welding, fabrication, and mechanic needs. William did not know many strangers and was almost certain to know at least a couple people everywhere he went. As William neared semi retirement he remarried in 2022 and moved to Riverside with his wife Rhonda. William was a lover of being outdoors and was often found fishing with friends and family or by the BBQ pit smoking or grilling for many to enjoy. William always had a story to tell or an idea to explore. His wealth of knowledge and wisdom was rare. William was adored, cherished, and will be greatly missed by all that loved and knew him.
A visitation for William will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1515 South College Avenue, Bryan, Texas 77801, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
