Michael Jerry Dechape, age 66, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025.He was born July 5th, 1959 in Livonia Michigan, to Andre and Yvonne Dechape. He married Brenda Becker on January 7th, 1997 in Kona, Hawaii. Michael truly lived life and the beauty of God's blessings, great and small. He loved his family and the Lord more than anything on this earth. He could light up a room with his beautiful smile and character.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Dechape; his beautiful kids - three sons, Kaeo Dechape (Jessica), Jahvan Dechape (Sascha), and Kai Dechape (Brittany); three daughters, Nicole Dechape (Jason), Araya Dechape, and Gianna Dechape-Ruiz (Ian); two brothers, Alain Dechape (Karen), and Patrick Dechape, (Chong); two sisters, Chantal Dechape (Chip) and Christine Ballon (Jerry); and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Michael was loved by many and will be missed dearly by all who knew him. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were placed in the care of Dimond and Sons Funeral Home.
