

Rex E. Wells, aged 85, passed away on June 14, 2025, in Bullhead City, AZ. Born on October 25, 1939, in Spokane, Washington, he was the fourth child of William Wells and Helen Hovey Wells. Rex was predeceased by his parents, his siblings Billy Wells, Jerry "Shorty" Wells, and Jessie Wells; his beloved wife of 42 years, Heather Diane Wells; his daughters Debra Parson and Rhonda Jo Wells Dunham, and his son Dale Wells Picard.
He is survived by his sister Jacqueline Wells Goodling, brother Jimmy Wells, daughter Brenda Wells Nesselrodt, her children, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and countless lifelong friends whom he considered family.
Together with Diane, Rex managed properties for 25 years. He will be fondly remembered as a larger-than-life character, known for his adventurous and carefree spirit. From being a so-called "horse thief" in Utah to riding rodeo and enjoying the nightlife “honky-tonkin”, Rex lived life to the fullest. He never met a stranger and earned the affectionate nickname "Sexy Rexy" during his more recent exploits in Cave Creek with his daughter and her boyfriend, Greg Studer. His fun-loving, mischievous blue eyes, infectious smile, sense of humor, and boundless zest for life will be dearly missed by many.
