Outside of work, Rob enjoyed working on his own vehicles and spending time off-roading in his Rhino. He treasured time with his family and was known for his quick wit, warm heart, and ability to make others laugh.
Rob married Nina Wright in 1988, and together they welcomed two children, Rachel and Robert. They later divorced in 2015. In August 2015, Rob married Barbara Dorr, becoming a devoted stepfather to Allison and Brian.
