It's February first 2026 and I've been thinking about Jana a lot so I logged in and realize the date of her passing was recent and it explains why she's been visiting my thoughts so much lately. 
I'm not sure what happened, but around the death of Prince I reached out to Jana knowing it would be a tough time for her. She didn't respond and I got angry. I didn't know what was going on with her until a mutual friend reached out and told me things weren't going well for Jana.
I wish she knew she could count on me to help to the best of my ability. Many people have passed away in these last ten years, but Jana's death has been one of the most difficult to accept. I keep thinking it's a hoax and I'll discover she's still alive and well. 
Time is kind of strange these days as if accelerated somehow? 
I have wonderful memories and cherish them deeply. We were wild and free...sometimes. I love and miss Jana very much!

I just found out Jana passed away and I’m in shock and heart broken about the news of her passing. We met in Highschool and were friends for a very long time. I thought I had enough time to make amends, but life is so unpredictable and we have no time to fix what’s been broken. We were very close, but I moved away and we became distant as our lives changed and went in different directions. I’m heart broken that I’ll never see her again. I’m devastated that I wasn’t there for her when she was there for me in some really scary times in my life. There’s no time to tell people you love them, but I loved Jana like a sister. I hope she’s rocking out with Prince and Freddy at the great concert in the next life. I’m still in a state of shock as I just got the news of her passing an hour ago. 💔

Jana and I were friends for many years. We worked together at FM Station Live. We stayed friends over the years . She was a beautiful lady inside and out  we had a lot of good times together  I’m so sorry to hear she’s gone   I will miss her.  I love you Jana
