Mr. Alfredo Vagnarelli

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and nonno Alfredo (Fred) Vagnarelli. He passed away peacefully on July 27at Crossroads Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years Bruna, his daughter Sendy (Ian), son Andrew (Andrea), grandchildren Teresa, Amanda, Ava, brothers Vito (Vera), Ubaldo, sister Giuseppina, sister in law Assuntina and many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Alfredo was predeceased by his parents Egisto and Speranza, brothers Luigi and Fernando, brother in law Fernando, and sister in law Elena. Alfredo was born on October 18, 1933 in Gubbio, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1953 where he later helped create West Brothers Frames & Chairs. Freddy loved to be in his workshop, tend to his garden and be with family and friends. He was a sweet and unassuming man who loved to give a helping hand. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Catholic Church 1450 Delta Avenue, Burnaby. Entombment to follow in Ocean View Burial Park - South Mausoleum, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Cancer Foundation or Crossroads Hospice would be appreciated.
