Andreino Citton

Andreino “Andy” Citton passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 7, 2020. He was born in Semonzo Del Grappa, Italy on Sept. 4, 1947. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Rosa LoRiggio, his 3 sons, Marco, Luca (Kristine) and Nicolas, as well as Francesco LoRiggio and family. In Italy he is survived by his sisters, Antonietta (Felice) and Elide (Domenico), his brother, Gianni (Yvette), and sister-in-law, Aurelia. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Giovanni Citton and Giuditta Pistorello, his sister, Rosina (Alessandro), and brothers, Alfredo (Belinda), and Gino. Andy was an incredibly talented mason and champion winemaker who took great pride in his friendships, his family and his marriage to Rosa. From his first years in Canada he was always active in Vancouver’s Italian community, at various times having served as President of both the Italian Cultural Centre, and the Italian Mutual Aid Society. An incredibly social, warm-hearted guy who loved to entertain in his beautiful garden with everybody he held dear. There will never be another one like him, and he will be greatly missed by his wife and sons, his many nieces, nephews, colleagues and friends. Due to the Covid situation, a private service will be held at St. Helen’s Church, and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
