Anna Lucia Farina

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anna Lucia (Licia) Farina (née Caldarone). Loved by all that met her, Licia was born and raised in Civitanova del Sannio, Italy, and moved to Vancouver in the early 1950s. Shortly thereafter she married the love of her life, Angelo Farina who passed away this past November. Licia spent her years working at Nino-Rose Café and West Coast Mill, as well as raising her only daughter, Giovanna (Joan). She enjoyed cooking, gardening, trips around the world with her friends, and was always the joker among the group. She spent most of her Summers at Loon Lake with her family at 'the cabin", and loved a card game of 31 and bocce. Licia is predeceased by her husband Angelo, and survived by daughter Giovanna, sister Maria Antonietta, brother Nicola in Italy, grandchildren Nicole, Olivia (Daniel), and Chloé, great-grandson Elliot, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held on Wednesday July 30th at 11:00am with a viewing at 10:00am at Saint Francis de Sales Parish in Burnaby, followed by entombment at Ocean View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the heart and stroke foundation are appreciated.
