

Tony was born on January 17, 1935 in Betis, Guagua, Pampanga to his mother Alejandra Guiao and his father Roman Cayanan. He grew up with his siblings Gliceria, Lazaro, Agustin, Soledad, Carmelita, Lorenza, Jose and Cleofe.
He attended Guagua National Colleges for his high school and eventually went to Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila and obtained a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.
During his college days, he met Flordeliza Santos and eventually married her in 1966. They spent a further 56 years happily married and had a beautiful blessed life together. They had 2 children, George and Simonet. As a dedicated father, he led his family to the Lord and opened his house to Bible studies and church services. His commitment to the Lord and the ministry is highlighted by the eventual establishment of a church ministry in his community.
As a Civil Engineer, he landed a job at Pasay City Engineers Office and later became an assistant city engineer. He was then appointed by Mayor Pablo Cuneta to the position of City Planning Officer and held this position until his retirement. Together with his wife Flor, he eventually joined his daughter Monette in Canada.
"His Lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the Joy of our Lord." (Matthew 25:23)
In addition to his wife Flor, Tony is survived by his children and their spouses: George (Amie) and Monette (Aldrin); his siblings: Agustin; Soledad, Carmelita, and Cleofe; and his grandchildren: Michael, Jathniel, Christian, Alyssa, Casey and Jiordan.
There will be a Funeral Service on Friday, February 11, 2022, 1pm, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park (3789 Royal Oak Ave., Burnaby BC). Interment will follow at 2:30pm. If you would like to join us and pay your last respects please register/RSVP through this link:
