Passed away on March 5, 2009 in Burnaby, British Columbia. Tony was born on March 8, 1922 on a farm in Ponzano, Italy and grew up in a large family including brothers Ettore, Checci, Pierro, Aldo, Vittorio, Guido and sister Maria. He immigrated to Canada in 1949 and worked in the logging industry with his uncle Joe Zanatta in Campbell River. Tony later settled in Burnaby and began his own company, which achieved great success, undertaking construction projects all over British Columbia until his retirement. He is survived by his two sons; Tony and Roy, granddaughter Natalie, siblings; Vittorio, Pierro and Maria, nephew Joe and family and friends in both Canada and Italy. Funeral service will be held at Holy Cross Church, 1450 Delta Avenue Burnaby, BC on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers a donation to the BC Cancer foundation would be appreciated.
