Bernadina Liguori

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Wife, Mother and Nonna, Bernadina on Christmas morning, December 25th at the age of 86. She was born in Sarno, Salerno, Italy. Bernadina was predeceased by her parents Francesco and Assunta, her inlaws Aniello and Michelina, brother in laws Tony, Benito, Santino, Michele, Cosimo and sister in laws Maria and Rachele.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by devoted husband of 64 years Domenico and her children Maria (Dan), Nino (Patty), Mike (Anna), Tony (Suzy) and her adored grandchildren Johnny, Sandra, Nico, Deena, Luca, Cristina (Nico), Michela, Alexandra, Damiano, Julia and great-granddaughter Leila, her siblings Stella, Giuseppe (Tilda), Giuseppina, Adele, Tony (Liz), Salvatore (Viv) and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy.

Bernadina will be remembered as a strong, feisty, fearless, tireless and courageous woman whose greatest passion was cooking and feeding her family. Her strong faith and devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, carried her through her most difficult days as she battled cancer four times in her life.

She touched the lives of so many with her generous spirit and as the matriarch of the family, loved to share her wisdom, life experience and advice with all.

Ultimately she was happiest surrounded by her family and called them her greatest treasures.

Prayers will be offered on Wednesday January 4th, 8:00 PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish 555 Slocan St. Vancouver, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday January 5th at 11:00 AM.
