It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, wife and grandmother, Bitten (Bettie) Grethe Corradi.
She will be deeply missed by her husband John; sons Johnnie and Michael (Anna); grandchildren Matteo, Sara, and Grace; and many family and friends in Canada, United States, Denmark, and Italy.
Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Bettie immigrated to Canada with her family in 1951. She was very artistic and skilled — whether it was sewing, knitting, baking, cooking, photography, painting or sketching, she excelled at it. She loved to read and had a passion for learning new things all the time. She even went to Italian classes to learn the language.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of St. Vincent’s Langara Care Home (Aspen Unit) for their compassion and care for Bettie.
A service will be held at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby, on Tuesday, October 14th, 2025 at 11:30am. Entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, Creekside Mausoleum.
