Chai Luan Connie Wyllie

Connie Kho Chai Luan, 76-years-old, died on Wednesday February 16, 2017, at her home in Vancouver . After her valiant fight with Breast Cancer in 2016, Connie’s battle with Stage 4 Breast Cancer that spread was too much to overcome. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in Buddha , and the love and prayers of family, friends, and many supporters carried her through months of grueling Chemotherapy. Yet even throughout her own struggle with Cancer, she reached out to others to offer her wisdom and guidance.

Connie was born on March 6, 1941 in Kuching, Sarawak in Malaysia. She was the second oldest of 8 siblings. She was a successful fashion designer, entrepreneur, and mother that will be more sorely missed by many.

She was known for her contagious smile and talent for helping others through good and bad times. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and pleasent demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even now are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing love and faith. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, and caring will never be forgotten.

Her surviving family members are many and include:

Son and Daughter in Law: Davy Kuan Lung Wyllie and Yang Yan Hua.

Grandmother to 3: Alison, Christina, and Anna

Immediate family: 4 Brothers and 3 Sisters: Kak Siew, Kak Beng, Kak Soon, Kak Hee, Jennifer, Susan, and Doris.

Other family members: Unfortunately too many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and God-children to list or even count.

Visitation information for friends and family of Connie Kho Chai Luan Wyllie: There will be a Memorial Service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park at 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.

A tea and snacks reception for the family and close friends will be held at the funeral home immediately following the Funeral.
