Samuel Chung Tong Tsui was born in Hong Kong in 1926 and in his early life, especially during the war years, survived through determination and tenacity. Dad became a licensed aircraft mechanic and in the mid 1950’s, met Mabelle, a young student nurse whom he married in 1957. The couple soon had two children, Julie, and Matthew.
In search for a better life, Samuel, and his young family immigrated to Vancouver in 1966. He was blessed with a job as an aircraft mechanic with CP Air and he excelled in his work. Although immigrant life was challenging, the family thrived due to Dad’s resourcefulness, and sheer hard work. Although thrifty, Dad was generous towards his family and friends. He loved the Lord and served faithfully in the church well into his later years. Dad enjoyed his retirement, spending time with Mom and his grandchildren and tinkering with his many hobbies.
Dad left for his heavenly home on May 11, 2022, at the age of 95 after a life well lived.
