In Loving Memory of a Devoted Wife, Mother, and Grandmother.
With profound sadness and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Clelia Pozzolo (Dal Cengio), 88, from Burnaby, B.C. She passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026.
She was born on July 9, 1937, in Novoledo, Vicenza, Italy. She is the last survivor of seven siblings, growing up on a farm in northern Italy with two sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her husband Franco of 65 years; son Oscar, and grandsons Massimo, Alessandro and Stefano.
Throughout her life, Clelia gave selflessly and wholeheartedly. Her days were guided by love, patience, and quiet strength, always putting the needs of others before her own. Clelia devoted herself to caring for her family, thinking of them in every decision, and working tirelessly to ensure they felt safe, supported, and deeply loved.
Clelia was the heart of her home — the one who held everyone together through both joyful moments and difficult times. Her unwavering belief in family, unity, and compassion created a bond that will endure for generations. She taught by example the importance of kindness, sacrifice, and unconditional love.
As a wife, Clelia was a loyal partner and constant source of encouragement. As a mother, she was nurturing, protective, and endlessly giving. As a grandmother, she was a gentle guide, a warm presence, and a source of comfort and wisdom.
Clelia’s legacy lives on in the values she instilled, the love she shared, and the family she worked so hard to keep united. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit remains alive in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Clelia will be remembered always — for her strength, her devotion, and her boundless love.
