Mrs. Cui Zhen Xu

徐翠珍于1924年5⽉17⽇出⽣于中国江苏省江阴县（现为江阴市）。徐翠珍⾃幼好学，为⼈善良，敬奉⻓辈，含⾟茹苦、养育⼉⼥。

徐翠珍⽣前所在⼯作单位是上海华东建筑设计院，⻓期从事建筑设计⼯作。曾参与和主持了许多重⼤⼯程的建设任务。她⼯作兢兢业业，认真负责，⼀丝不苟，受到单位同事⼀致好评。

在家庭中，徐翠珍是⻓辈眼中的好⼉媳，丈夫眼中的好妻⼦，孩⼦们眼中的慈祥⺟亲，为家庭她含⾟茹苦，为孩⼦成⻓她呕⼼沥⾎。

徐翠珍⽣命中的最后三⼗年是在加拿⼤度过的，在这⽚美丽的⼟地上，她尽情享受着晚年⽣活，并乐意尽⾃⼰⼒所能及的能⼒为社会承担相应的义务，直⾄90多岁⾼龄仍在温哥华中⽂图书馆做义⼯。

2026年8⽉19⽇，徐翠珍因病医治⽆效不幸去逝。享年102岁。她是⼀位勤劳、善良、质朴、奉献的⼈。她的去逝，给我们带来莫⼤的悲痛。我们会永远怀念她。

The Life of Our Mother, Cui Zhen Xu

Cui Zhen Xu was born on May 17, 1924, in Jiangyin County (now Jiangyin City), Jiangsu Province, China. From a young age, she was studious, kind, and respectful to her elders, and she later devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family.

Cui Zhen Xu worked for many years at the East China Architectural Design & Research Institute in Shanghai, where she pursued a career in architectural design. She participated in and led many major construction projects throughout her career. She was diligent, responsible, and meticulous in her work, earning the respect and praise of her colleagues.

In her family, Cui Zhen Xu was a devoted daughter-in-law in the eyes of her elders, a loving wife in the eyes of her husband, and a caring mother in the eyes of her children. She worked tirelessly for her family and dedicated herself to raising her children.

Cui Zhen Xu spent the last thirty years of her life in Canada. She enjoyed her later years in this beautiful country and contributed to her community to the best of her ability. Even in her nineties, she continued to volunteer at the Vancouver Chinese Library.

On August 19, 2026, Cui Zhen Xu passed away after an illness at the age of 102. She will be remembered as a hardworking, kind, humble, and dedicated person who gave so much to her family, career, and community. Her passing brings us great sorrow, and her memory will remain forever in our hearts.
