Auntie De Chin is like a mother to our family. she is always fond of our youngest Jason. she always call him cute and always laughing at his antics. He is always calling her Ema. We have often went out with her after church and have lunch together. We will miss her wisdom and her insights, especially her great memory of the past of almost a century.

I was privileged to sing with the UECP (United Evangelical Church of the Philippines) Children’s Choir under the tutelage of 薛麗真老師 in 1957-59. She impressed me as a strict conductor yet great encourager. Under her leadership, we presented the cantata “Hansel and Gretel”, and joined the Men’s Fellowship in performing Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” (the story of Ebenezer Scrooge) - certainly no small feats for a children’s choir. I believe her influence played a vital role in my involvement in the choir ministry later on.

My brother,Jonathan Lao's godmother but i call her 'ninang' too. She,together with A. Helen Uy took care of Mom, Dra.Nancy Lao while immigrating to vancouver in the 1970s.
A good cook, strict conductor, mom's great friend and sisters in christ.
Your journey here on earth has come to an end but will recomence up in heaven as you continue to conduct choirs of angels.May you truly rest in peace in our Lords midst.
