Dick was born in Macau with his 2 sisters and 1 older brother just prior to the start of World War II.
He was a hardworking businessman that learned early on the value of hard work and perseverance which allowed him overcome obstacles and build many successful businesses that provided for his family.
Dick ran businesses in Macau, Fiji, and finally settled down in Canada in the 70s with his wife, Wai Hing, and 2 children Cam and Christina.
In 2009, Dick became a proud grandfather and took an active role in babysitting and helping shuttle his grandkids from activity to activity. He was happy to teach them to speak Chinese, play Chinese Chess, and played with them each day endlessly.
He will be greatly missed for his never giving up attitude, resilience, perseverance, mentorship to others, kindness and generosity that were offered privately. He was a caring and compassionate individual who always put the needs of others before his own.
He will forever be in our thoughts and in our hearts.
