Dom has always been a kind and welcoming person to be around. His presence always lit up a room. He always spoke to me about his children and how much he valued being a father to his two children, who he loved with all his heart. He will be deeply missed by so many. My heartfelt condolences to his children, family, and all who loved him. Rest in peace.

I always called him my little Domi
He came into our lives a few years after we lost our precious mother in our early teens and he filled that void with so much joy! My father adored him beyond words.  He was his world. They had such a special bond.
His dad passed down his sense of humor always making us laugh and now his son is carrying on that tradition. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree!
His Nonna was such a gift and gave him security and a big family and later he was a big brother to my two nephews who looked up to him when they were so much younger than him. 
The last time I saw him was a few years ago with his dad and son sitting together-
Three generations and it was such a precious moment.  Valentino lit up every time he was with him and grinned from ear to ear!
I am heart broken and devastated his children will have to grow up without him and grateful for their rock of a mother to be there always as I will be.
He is very near and dear in my heart and will always shine bright in my memories with those beautiful big blue eyes.
May you be in a place filled with light and love.

Domenic was the most genuine, optimistic, open-hearted person I have ever known. No matter what challenges life put in front of him he always kept pushing through because that’s what you do, for your children. My dear sweet nephew Domi,

I am still in shock that you are gone. “Way too soon” doesn’t even begin to cover it.

I remember every sweet little thing about you — from racing around as a two-year-old at Grandpa Brian’s house, to carrying Larissa all the way from your mom’s and my place in East Van to Trout Lake when you were only 10. She was just two, and you wouldn’t put her down. You were so proud to have her in your arms.

I can’t help but smile thinking about how you were always late for every festive occasion. I laugh now remembering how I used to tell you dinner was two hours earlier than it really was, just to get you there on time.

And no matter how late you were, you always arrived with your hands full — gifts, treats, and that huge smile. Later, eventually kids too — but always with a hug and a kiss, ready to be with all of us.

You loved with your whole heart. You were such an incredibly proud big brother, and you absolutely lit up seeing how much Dalton and Austin idolized you when they were young. Some of my very best memories are with you and Linda and the rest of our family, all of us singing at the top of our lungs at Christmas or birthdays, dancing like nobody was watching.

And then I got to see you become a father. Proud doesn’t even begin to describe how you felt about Mila and Tino, or how deeply and fiercely you loved them.

You brought so much love, laughter, and heart into our family. You will be missed more than words can ever say, and you will be loved always.

Erai, Larissa, Cierrah and I will be holding you close in our hearts now and forever, until we meet again.

Domenic was a playful, loving soul. He lit up any room he entered. He was a good friend to me and such a loving and caring son to my dear friend Shirley. My heart goes out to you and your family for such a great loss. May he rest in peace.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Dom's passing.

I had the pleasure of working with Dom many years ago, and while we lost touch over the years, I have many happy memories of the time we spent together and the occasions when our children were young and shared special moments, including baby showers and  birthday parties, and other celebrations. Dom was one of those people you didn't forget, and I find myself smiling when I think of some of the stories and adventures from those days.

My heartfelt condolences to his children, family, and friends. May your memories of him bring comfort during this difficult time.

Reflecting on over forty years of friendship, I am filled with gratitude that Domi was my very first best friend. From the carefree days of our youth playing outside until dark and sharing family meals the moment his grandmother called us in for supper, to the challenges and triumphs of our adult lives, our bond remained unbroken.

Domi brought athletic talent, charm, and a bright energy to everything he did. He was always the first to win a race, and now, he is the first to find peace in heaven. Until we meet again G,  I will carry our memories, our laughter, and our endless soccer debate on why Team Italy sucks at soccer. May your soul rest in eternal peace. Love you always, Domi.
