

It is with great sadness that the family of Dominador Perez Cendana, devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather, announces his passing on June 22, 2026 in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Ador, as known to his family, and Dom to his friends, was born Dominador Perez Cendana on January 9, 1942 in Magalang, Pampanga, Philippines to parents Petronilo Cendana and Natividad Perez. He earned a B.S. in Commerce from Far Eastern University.
In 1964, Ador met the love of his life, Maria Elena de Vera. Ador and Helen were united in the Holy Sacrament of Matrimony at Our Lady of Grace Church in Caloocan City on January 1st, 1966. They were faithfully married for 56 years and blessed with four children.
He had a long career in sales and marketing. In the 1970’s, he worked as a supervisor for Nestle Philippines (formerly Filipro). After a successful 25-year tenure with the company, he retired as Assistant Vice President in Sales and Marketing for the entire Luzon region.
Dom and Helen and the entire family moved to Canada in the 1980’s. First settling in Edmonton, Alberta, and eventually in Vancouver- Richmond, British Columbia years later.
While he worked as an agent for Canada Life Insurance until 2015, Dom also served as a member of the MAREVA (Mangaldan Residents of Vancouver), a vibrant community organization for immigrants and expats from Mangaldan, Philippines.
Despite his quiet demeanor, he was always available to provide mentorship and guidance to those who sought his advice. Dom loved music! Not classically trained, Dom played the violin and the piano.
He is survived by his children Ella Marie, Edwin, Eileen, and Eliza; sons-in-law Cris and Sylvain; grandchildren Crisanto II, Angela, Chloe, and Samuel; siblings Antonita, Lolita, Danilo, Eduardo, Susan and Sally; and many loving family and friends.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Vancouver General Hospital, Burnaby General Hospital, and Vancouver Health and Fraser Health Home Support for their compassionate care and support.
A prayer service will be held on July 11, Saturday at 1 PM at Ocean View Funeral Home and Burial Park in Burnaby, BC. Reception will immediately follow the prayer service.
