

Born on September 20, 1939, in Swatow, China, Doris was the daughter of Yue-Chuen Law and Sau-Lai Siu. As a teenager, she moved to Hong Kong to reunite with her mother and began building a life marked by adventures and entrepreneurship. After working at the Metropolitan Bank, Doris co-founded a garment manufacturing business with her mother.
In 1985, Doris moved to Canada with her family, where she embarked on a new chapter in the healthcare field, eventually retiring in 2004. She had a love for travel, good food, and, most of all, the company of her family and friends.
Doris leaves behind her devoted husband of 60 years, Arthur, and her sons, Joseph (Allen) and John. She is also lovingly remembered by extended family and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents and brothers.
Doris will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and enduring love for those around her.
Her memorial events will be held at Ocean View Funeral Home and Burial Park at 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC V5J 1A4:
o Interment: October 24, 12:45pm - 2:00pm
o Celebration of Life: October 24, 2:00pm - 5:00pm
An evening visitation will also be held on October 23, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm for those who cannot attend on October 24.
