It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doug Beaton at the age of 89 years on June 10, 2009. Born in Vancouver on January 17, 1920 he worked for the City of Vancouver Engineering department for 45 years. In his retirement years he became a craftsman of fine furniture. Most of all he was the cornerstone of a loving family. Doug is survived by Daphne his wife of 69 years, son Michael, daughter Robin (Bob) and grandsons Kyah and Sean. He was much loved and will be dearly missed.
