I am so sorry to hear the news of Ed’s passing. I have many memories of Ed, including sneaking out to go for long walks and talks in high school. He was always a great listener and knew how to put a smile on my face when I needed it most. I haven’t seen him in years but I will always remember his big smile and infectious laugh. My heart goes out to his family.

We didn't talk a lot on a personal level but he was willing to engage in a conversation with me. And during those times I could tell he was a good person.

Ed was a great friend growing up. Though we lost touch since he moved from Nanaimo, I will always remember and cherish our friendship. He was by far my greatest teammate and opponent in the sports we both loved. Tennis, golf, basketball, soccer, football, rugby and road hockey. Our greatest being our best of 59 set tennis match in the late 90’s.....epic
RIP bud.

Eddie had a good heart and generous spirit. He was also strong as an ox - he helped me move furniture on one occasion with ease as I struggled mightily! We became friends and bonded over our shared love of sports and poker. I will always look back on our early days of the River Rock poker room with fondness. RIP, Humster.

I’m so very sorry and sad to learn that Ed has passed away. Almost thirty years ago, Ed was my first boyfriend and love of four years. We’d lost touch since but I will always remember his smile and big laugh. My deepest sympathy to Ed’s family and friends for your very tragic loss.

Worked with him at Unit S. Good laughs. I later found out about his love of a particular Vietnamese sub at a place that we both frequent.

Oh Hummer....
You were always so wise. You knew that. Truthfully though, we all knew. I always appreciated your subtle quips and the proud smirk that accompanied them. You will be missed bro. You and your family are in my prayers. And everytime I 'pour one out' for ya homie, your jovial laugh will undoubtedly be the soundtrack of the moment.
Golf in peace,
Christian
