Edward Wong

Ed grew up in Vancouver and forged his own path by moving to Toronto, where he lived for most of his adult life. He began working at McDonald's at the age of 16 and what began as a part-time job eventually took him out East to Toronto where he started his career as a junior manager. Ed's career path at McDonald's soared over the years as he eventually became the Head Manager of several McDonald's stores in the heart of downtown Toronto, was later promoted as a Training Consultant at the McDonald's corporate office and was then finally promoted to Operations Consultant, where he was tasked with looking after multiple stores. During his time at McDonald's, Ed was an integral part of the team that opened the SkyDome (now, Rogers Centre), which became the then-new home of the Toronto Blue Jays. After his career at McDonald's, Ed successfully opened his own restaurant as a franchisee with the St. Louis Bar and Grill. Ed's restaurant was routinely filled with regular customers and maintained by loyal staff, all of whom we know will also miss him dearly.

Along with the restaurant business, Ed's passions included travelling, golfing, good Chinese food and having great fun at the casinos. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered by many and forever in our hearts.

Ed was predeceased by his father, John. He is survived by his mother, May; his brothers, Richard and Terry; his sisters, Lily and Sally (David); his nieces, Vanessa (Jayson) and Kelsey (Evan K.); his nephews, Brandon, Evan and Joshua; his Uncle, Aunts as well as his many cousins.
