Elena Figliuzzi

Elena Figliuzzi passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on October 23, 1946; born to parents Pietro and Gelsina Lavorato, in Piane Crati, Italy, Elena brought grace, strength, and compassion to all who knew her. In 1969, she married the love of her life, Salvatore Figliuzzi, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned more than five decades.

Elena was a devoted mother to Nick (Tara), Peter(Deanna), and Enzo(Maria), and a proud grandmother to Bailey, Jeremy, Emma, Braeden, Bradley, and Isabella. Her family was the heart of her world, and she filled their lives with unconditional love, wisdom, and warmth. She found joy in cooking and sharing meals, and her home was always open to family and friends—filled with laughter, delicious food, and heartfelt conversation.

Visitation will be held at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby, on November 13, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 2025 Napier Street, Vancouver, on November 14, 2025, at 1:00 pm. Entombment will follow at Ocean View Burial Park – South Mausoleum, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby.

Elena will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
