

Elise was born January 31, 1930 on a homestead in Laventure Saskatchewan to her loving parents Rosaire Sr and Jeanne.
She grew up in a close and loving family alongside her siblings Rosaire, Germain, Celine and Raymonde who predeceased her and is survived by her brother Jean.
During her early years she attended North Creek, a one room schoolhouse. After graduating from high school, Elise attended Normal School in Saskatoon for her teaching certificate and became a school teacher. After raising her children, Elise worked in acquisitions for the Burnaby Public library which complimented her love of books.
Elise was also an accomplished seamstress and dressmaker, sewing many children’s dresses in addition to petit point embroidery, decorative fabric rugs and quilting. She also loved cooking and was a voracious reader. Elise would be adventurous with the family dinners during holidays and special occasions. She excelled at gardening, helping others and was a good listener. Family was always her priority and was prominent throughout her life
She was predeceased by her loving husband Peter of 54 years and is survived by her children Fred (Jane), Gerald (Glenda), Desmond (Alison) and Suzanne as well as 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren
Services will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Thursday June 11, 2026 at 11am, 1450 Delta Ave Burnaby.
Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby B.C.
