To our Epp cousins,

We were sad when we heard that your brother and our cousin Erwin died.  

I have a few memories of Erwin when you lived in Coaldale in the 1950s and later in Vauxhall (playing on the farm in summer, going to the river, and visiting in the upstairs loft bedroom - where someone got a fish hook stuck in his finger - was that Erwin or Elmer or perhaps Victor?).  After that your family moved west and we rarely visited.  Harold and Erwin came back to Coaldale in the 1960s in a fancy car all rigged up with a giant stereo system that had to come in for night for some reason (I think we were told that it had to be kept at room temperature).  I remember lots of laughs during that visit.  You guys were hilarious.

I am sure that you have an abundance of good memories of Erwin.  He had such an unusual sense of humor.  We were very pleased to read in Vic and Nelly's note that Erwin made peace with God at some point.  

May God grant you His peace during this time of sorrow and remembrance of Erwin.

We are sorry to have missed Erwin's memorial service, but we would love to hear a recording of the service, if it is available and practical to do so.

We wish to offer our deepest condolences to the Epp family on the loss of their brother. As members of the extended family, we did not have the opportunity to get to know him well, but do remember his sense of humor and enjoyment of family and cousins.  At a family reunion in Osoyoos, he insisted that his Alberta cousins get a taste of the fresh fruit and vegetables from the gardens and orchards of his province.  He will be missed by us all.  

We were very sad to hear about Erwin's passing. We know how close your family is and how much he meant to all of you.  He will be missed. Our thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.

Mr. Erwin Epp will be deeply missed by the staff members of the Vancouver & Lower Mainland Multicultural Family Support Services where he provided Pro Bono legal advice to victims of domestic violence consistently for over 20 years. His dedication and kindness is unparalleled.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Erwin Epp.  Knowing the family these past 30 years, we know how close and loving all the siblings are to each other. Erwin's kind and gentle spirit and great sense of humour will be well remembered.

It was way back in 1986 that a group of Vancity golfers needed a fourth. That is when I met Erwin. Many golf games later a golf trip was discussed, arranged, and a annual event was born in 1998. Erwin participated each year bringing his fine golf game, but more importantly bringing his sense of humour, enjoyment of fine food, and love of life! I have wonderful memories of these trips which I will hold in my heart. The warmth, friendship and caring he continually showed towards myself and my late wife, Rose Marie, was wonderful. Over the years Erwin was a guest at our home for many dinners, events and parties. He always brought a special brand of happiness to share with other guests. I will truly miss home and think of him often. 

Sad to hear about Erv.  He was always such a fun-loving guy.  Lots of memories of us cheering the Canucks downtown.  My condolences to you his loving family.
