She was born on January 8, 1926 in Cavinti, Laguna, Philippines, to Simeon Oblena Lubuguin and Marciana Aranton Lubuguin. In Cavinti, Eugenia found her soul mate and partner for life at the age of 21, when she married Isidro Romulo Lubuguin on November 4, 1947. Together, they were active members of De Colores Cursillo at the Parish of San Salvador Transfiguration. On August 3, 1983, Eugenia emigrated with her husband to Vancouver, BC. She continued to be active with the Cavinti “Paluwagan” Community and loved socializing with its members.
Eugenia loved to cook; her sweet rice cake was well loved by her family and friends. One of her greatest joys in life was caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren throughout the years.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Isidro; her brother, Lauro Lubuguin; her sister, Aurora Reodica; her four children, Benilda (Deogracias) Madrazo, Flor (Jaime) Tiquis, Nestor (Merlyn) Lubuguin and Reynita (Emmanuel) Pioquinto; her fifteen grandchildren and her seven great-grandchildren.
