Eugenia Piva

August 8, 1925 – February 20, 2024

We are very sad to announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Eugenia (Gina) Piva on February 20, 2024 at the age of 98. Gina was born on August 8, 1925 in Caselle D’Altivole, Treviso, Italy, to Italia and Gregorio Bruschetta. She was predeceased by her husband, Giovanni in 2007, also by her brothers Gino and Andrea.

Surviving are her two sons, Vincenzo (Lidia) and Roberto (Joan), two grandsons, Manuel (Jen) and Jeff. Three great grandchildren, Natalia, Nico and Sofie, siblings Aldo (Sandra), Carmella and Ada and many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Gina, with her husband and sons moved to Vancouver in 1967. She was a “homemaker” keeping everyone fed and looking after their needs. Her passion was her garden and her famous geraniums. We would like to thank the many wonderful people who cared for Gina at Villa Carital.

Prayers and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Sorrows, 555 Slocan Street, Vancouver. Private entombment for immediate family to follow at Ocean View Burial Park, Abbey Mausoleum.
