Fernanda A. Padolina

She is predeceased by her parents, Juanita and Dionisio Alvarado, her husband Ricardo Padolina, her siblings Pacita, Felipa, Pacencia, Felicidad, and Reynaldo, and her granddaughter Nerissa Mae Maningas. She is survived by her loving children, Leo Padolina, Gina Kuipers (Paul), Mila Maningas (Leonardo), Aurea Carlos (Danilo), and her cherished 8 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Fernanda was born on May 30, 1928 in the municipality of Quezon in Nueva Ecija, Philippines. She moved to Regina, SK with her children in 1978, and relocated to Vancouver, BC in 1981. During her early years in Vancouver, Fernanda was an active member of the Filipino Seniors Club, where she found joy in playing bingo and cards, dancing, and exploring the city. In the last cherished years of her life, she treasured time with family and took comfort in watching her favourite GMA Network programs.

A true matriarch, Fernanda was loved dearly by her large network of family and friends. Her kind and generous heart, feisty attitude, tenacious spirit, and sharp sense of humour will live on in the tight-knit family she built.

We love you and miss you, Nanay. We will treasure your memory and hold you in our hearts until we meet again in Paradise.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 14th at St. Clare of Assisi church in Coquitlam at 11:00am.
