Born on March 11, 1936, in Montebelluna (TV) Italy, to Alaimo Pagnan and Maria Giacon, Dino was one of five siblings and is predeceased by his first wife, Marie Elsa, his son Mark, two brothers, and two sisters.
In May 1959, Francesco bravely immigrated to Canada, where he built a beautiful and fulfilling life marked by hard work, enduring friendships, and deep love for his family. Through the decades, he became known for his passion for cycling, tennis, golf, & wine making - traits that endeared him to all who knew him.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Maria Teresa, who was his partner in love and life. He will be deeply missed by his stepdaughters, Elena Bisognin (Morley Kirkham) and Cristina Pereira (George Pereira), and his cherished granddaughters, Kaela Maria and Erika Justine. Francesco’s legacy lives on not only in the hearts of his family but also in the countless lives he touched through his kindness and friendship. He will be fondly remembered and missed by his many dear and close friends, who were like extended family.
In honoring Francesco’s life, we remember a man of great character, resilience, and love—a life well lived and deeply treasured.
A mass will be held on Wednesday June 18th at St Helen’s Parish in North Burnaby at 11:00am, with entombment to follow at Ocean View Cemetery.
