Francesco Ingenito

It’s with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Papa, Nonno, husband, and friend Francesco Ingenito. Francesco passed away peacefully with his wife and children by his side on April 17th, 2023.

He was born in the town of Pagani, Salerno, Italy. Known to many as Franco, Franco immigrated to Canada in 1967. Shortly after arriving he met his soul mate of 52 years Giuseppina and they went on to have two children and built a beautiful life together. As a young child of 9 years old Franco apprenticed to be a barber. His line of work took him to many countries in Europe before he settled in Canada. Through his travels he learned to speak French and became tri-lingual. Franco was a long-time salon owner and barber at the Vancouver International Airport for over 40 years. YVR was like his second home. Franco was a devoted family man and amazing friend. His home was an open door to friends and family and was always filled with laughter and joy.

We will miss his warmth, kindness, and wonderful smile. Franco is predeceased by his Father Salvatore, Mother Consiglia, Sister Emma, Brothers Raffaele & Alfonso.

Franco is survived by his loving wife Giuseppina, Son Rino (Rosemary), daughter Laura (Ryan), his grandchildren that he adored Ella, Adriana, & Antonio and many relatives in Italy and Canada.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on April 25, 2023 at Corpus Christi Parish, 6350 Nanaimo Street, Vancouver, followed by entombment at the South Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby.
