Francesco Romeo

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Francesco Romeo. Francesco was born in Miglierina, Prov Catanzaro, Italy on September 4th, 1932. He immigrated to Canada with his wife Francesca and their three children on March 19, 1966. Through hard work and dedication he built a new life for his family in Canada.

Francesco was predeceased by his wife Francesca; parents Serafino and Teresa; sisters Antonietta, Maria, Concetta and his brother Domenico. He is survived by his devoted children Teresa (John), Serafino (Maria) and Mario (Josie); his grandchildren Frank (Brittany), Robbie (Sasha), Rosemary (Nick), Frank (Jenieve), Michael (Ashley), Fabio (Jeslin), Francesco (Gina), Gerlando (Elyse); 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Francesco was an avid gardener and fisherman. No task was to difficult for him. He could accomplish anything he set his mind to. Words can never capture all that he was.

Francesco will be deeply missed and remembered always with much love.

The family would like to thank the staff at Foyer Maillard for the kind care they provided him.

A Visitation will take place at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel on Sunday June 1, 2025 between 6:00pm and 7:00pm

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Cross Parish on Monday June 2nd, 2025 at 12 noon.
