Francesco Sandini

Francesco Sandini passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on January 13, 2016 at the age of 80 years. He is predeceased by his parents Galliano and Ilva Sandini. He is survived by his loving family, wife Anna Sandini; children: Robert, Michael (Karen), Paola (David); grandchildren: Francesca, Rocco, Ryan, Ella, Liam; brother Arten and sister Grasiella in Italy; also sister-in-law Sira; brother-in-law Primo (Marilynn); and many nieces, nephews, and friends. After retiring from construction, Francesco enjoyed extensive traveling along isde his wife and close family members. He also had many memorable evenings at the park laughing and playing a game of bocce with long time friends. He had many hobbies which included hunting, fishing and mushroom picking. His biggest pride and joy was caring for his garden. Francesco was a long time member of the Famme Furlane, where he competed and won many card tournaments with his brother-in-law Primo. 'Nono Cesco' will be greatly missed by his grandchildren whom he loved and adored. His warm and endearing smile and selflessness will be deeply missed by all. Visitation will be held 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 20th at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings St., Burnaby. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 21st at St. Helen's Parish, 3860 Triumph St. Burnaby. Entombment will follow at the South Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park.
