The Principe family is saddened to share that our matriarch, Francisca Sabal Principe, age 97, passed away on June 29, 2023. She is survived by 8 of her 10 children (Norma, Danilo, Cecilia, Ruby, Cristina, Johnson, Olivia and Regina), 22 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many extended family members.
She was born in Rizal, Philippines and moved to Canada to cultivate a better life for her children and their future families as their well-being was always her main priority. She devoted much of her life to raising and caring for her loved ones. It was highly admirable how much time she spent and the effort she made to show others she cared. She never missed a birthday, graduation, or anniversary. If we had anything to celebrate, she would always be the first to call.
Francisca was an avid bingo player and developed many lasting relationships through the game. She was also a loyal soap opera viewer and casino patron. Her love for fresh fruit often brought the family together to share in those moments of snacking.
Although we are immensely devastated by the loss of Francisca, we remember her fondly as a selfless woman with a limitless capacity for love.
