Franjo Oreskovic was born March 16 1922 in Covici, Lika, Croatia passed away peacefully with his family by his side on December 25, 2011. He is survived by his daughter Doris (Maras), son Steve, son-in-law Petar, daughter-in-law Dalia, grandchildren, Mirko, Marinko, Natalie, Mark and Raquel, three sisters, nieces and nephews in Croatia and many friends in Vancouver and Nanaimo. He is predeceased by his first wife Marija in 2002 and his second wife Marija in 2011. Franjo was a strong, hard-working, proud and patriotic Croatian. He was very entertaining and loved making people laugh with his funny comments. He really enjoyed his life and as he said Ja sam imao dobar zivot ... I had a fun life. We will always remember your smile, sparkling blue eyes and great sense of humor. We love you Tata/Dida. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, 7:00 p.m at Immaculate Heart of Mary Croatian Parish, 3105 East 1st Ave., Vancouver, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 4th, 2012 at 10:00 am.
