

Gary Salvador P Cruz passed away on June 11th, 2026, in Tokyo, Japan, at the age of 58. Born on May 10th, 1968, Gary lived a life defined by loyalty, hard work, and an unwavering love for his family.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Anna Fe Cruz, his eldest son Mark Louis Cruz, and his youngest son Gabriel Angelo Cruz. He is also lovingly remembered by his mother Casiana Cruz, his siblings Gilbert Cruz, Gwada Cruz, and Gylene Cruz, along with extended family in both Canada and the Philippines.
His extended family in Seattle includes his first cousin Eleanor Holler, her husband Neal Holler, and their children Jaeda, Jaydun, and Ethan. He is also remembered by his cousins Joey Pinote, Joseph Estrada, and BJ Pinote.
Gary will also be dearly missed by the family’s beloved English Bulldog, Milo, who was always by his side.
Gary moved to Canada in 2002 and immigrated alongside his wife Anna Fe Cruz and his son Mark Louis Cruz, beginning a new chapter of life together when Mark was just two years old.
After arriving in Vancouver, Gary worked as a Fire Alarm Technician with Levitt Safety, where he continued to build his fire alarm technical expertise and strong reputation for reliability and precision. He remained with Levitt Safety until 2011, when he transitioned to Fort McMurray to pursue the next stage of his career.
From 2011 onward, Gary dedicated 15 years of service to Honeywell Building Solutions, where he built a highly respected career in the energy and industrial sector. He served as a Lead Advanced Field Service Technician and was known to his team as the Albian Fire and Gas Team Lead. Gary was highly respected for his leadership, technical expertise, and unwavering commitment to safety and excellence.
Prior to immigrating, Gary worked in the Philippines for PLDT (Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company), where he began building the foundation of his technical career.
Gary was a loyal, caring, and hardworking man who always placed his family above everything else. His greatest joy came from spending time with his loved ones, whether it was sharing meals, travelling together, or going on family vacations.
He had a deep love for life’s simple pleasures and adventures. Gary enjoyed travelling to different countries, collecting fridge magnets and bottles of alcohol from around the world, and expressing his vibrant personality through his love of bright-coloured clothing. He also had a passion for electronics and watches, always curious and interested in how things worked.
In his younger years, Gary enjoyed bowling, table tennis, basketball, long drives, and camping activities that reflected his energetic and social spirit. At his core, however, nothing compared to time spent with family, which he often described as his happiest moments.
Gary will be remembered most for his generosity, loyalty, and unconditional love for his family. He taught those around him the importance of loving without boundaries, working hard, and making time to truly enjoy life.
