Gladys Florrie Johnston peacefully passed away on November 14, 2020 after a battle with cancer at age 88 years old. Gladys Johnston, born Gladys Carniello in Vancouver, BC in 1932 is lovingly remembered by her husband of 63.5 years William, her sons Anthony and daughter in-law Karen and Peter and daughter-in-law, Sherrill, as well as her beloved grandchildren, Evan, Brittney, Daniel, Laura, Kevin, Anaiah, Peter and Jonathan.
Gladys lived a life of love and devotion to her family and her Catholic faith and brought joy to her many friends. Born and raised on Union Street in Vancouver, Gladys and her family were an active part of the Italian immigrant community in that part of the city during the thirties, forties and fifties and continued to live in East Vancouver until her passing.
