Mine was only one contact with Glenn 
which left a lasting impact of who he was. 
    It was when he attended the memorial of his niece the daughter of his brother Chris & wife Cheryl North. 
   Glenn already very ill himself put aside his own life’s situation to possibly mourn the death but more likely it was to support his brother and their family. 
Glenn presented himself to many people including myself as a man deeply interested in the wellbeing of others. 
His brother Chris needed comfort and he 
did not hold back in being by his brothers side. 

And now his brother Chris (although crushed at heart) awaits to be at Glenn’s  side when (as Chris whole heartedly believes) Glenn is brought back to life in perfect health, to live out the type of person  Glenn  worked at being before the this brief pause he’s taken now.    Till we meet again. 

With deep regrets, I am in Ontario for a family celebration of life for my stepmother and could not attend Glen's service in-person, but was on the other end of the live feed.

It was my pleasure to know Glen through the nutraceutical industry over many years and one day, I came to learn of our shared past- both of us grew up with our parents running motels in Parksville, albeit a few years apart. Glen and Warren and I compared notes about our teenaged hangout activities and discovered that not much changed in the life of a Parksville teenager over the years between us.

In early December 2016, I was thrilled to join the team at PNP and work directly with Glen. He had such a reputation for quality, for integrity, for being hands-on and I wanted to learn from him. I learned that he worked hard, but also played hard, and I laughed to find his "gone surfing" sign hung on his door a few weeks later, when he went on his annual surfing trip to Hawaii for the holiday season. So cool.

Glen waged a courageous battle against an unbeatable disease, leaving no stone unturned. I feel so fortunate for the time I spent in his orbit. I know he is free now, "gone surfing".
